Skiatook is the largest town in Oklahoma. While it aspires to become a city, Siatook successfully blends quiet country living with full-time lakeside resort living. Some claim that it is a bed and breakfast community.
Skiatook is in two different counties: Tulsa County and Osage County. The average age in Skiatook is 34. The population in 2007 was about 7,500 to 10,000.
The 17-mile long Osage Prairie Trail runs from the center of downtown Skiatook to the OSU Tulsa campus.
It is said that Lake Skiatook is one of the cleanest and clearest of the lakes built by the Army Corps of Engineers in northeast Oklahoma. It is our newest lake, providing 8,000 acres for hunting and fishing, with boat launches, sites for RVs, and picnic areas.
Osage Park has an amphitheatre and fishing docks.
There are cabins at Crystal Bay Marina.
Magill's has an outstanding golf course and they are building cabins.
Bridle Creek Horse Ranch and Resort has cabins, a lodge for receptions, full stalls for horses, and an indoor arena.
The SKIMAC (The Skiatook Multipurpose Activity Center) holds 5,000 people. There is an airport in Skiatook
